Business plan examples with linked financials

A useful example shows both the narrative and the numbers behind it.

Each example connects the operating concept, customer, staffing plan, startup funding and financial exhibits. Annotations explain the calculation and the evidence still missing. The businesses are fictional; their names do not describe clients, completed transactions or approved loans.

How to adapt an example

  1. Keep only the operating format that matches your project.
  2. Replace the location, owner background and business structure with verified details.
  3. Collect supplier quotes and local evidence before changing the budget and sales forecast.
  4. Recalculate the model, then update every number in the narrative from that model.
  5. Use the receiving lender’s document list to determine the final submission.

What an example cannot supply

A sample cannot establish local demand, prove your equity contribution, identify your competitors or certify a property’s suitability. It also cannot create tax returns, bank statements or operating history. Leave an evidence gap visible until you can resolve it.

The document checklist distinguishes the planning narrative from owner records and third-party evidence. The proposed planning package explains how these components will fit together.
